The Half: Commanders vs Jaguars Week 1 Preview

The above quote is from former, two-time, Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld during a conference over twenty years ago. He was talking about weapons of mass destruction... But what about this Commanders vs Jaguars game?
The known-known... We know Washington and Jacksonville have been lackluster over the last few years, but we also know both teams are excited about their futures. Jacksonville hired Super Wimmer, Doug Pedersen this Off-season as their new head coach; that alone improves the Jaguars. We also know that the Jaguars have former Clemson BEAST and number one pick, Trevor Lawrence. While he may have had a bad season last year, it was not only expected because he's a rookie but he had a coach that didn't know how to be an NFL coach running the show as his leader. If you get rid of Urban Meyer and add 17 starts of experience, you will get better; I guarantee it.
As for the know-unknowns, how will Washington's offense look with Carson Wentz? Ideally, you'd think it'll work well but the pre-season and training camp reports are concerning; even for an optimistic bamma like myself. Even if Washington's offense does play well, who's to say Jacksonville won't make an instant leap defensively? They do have players like Josh Allen (Not the QB) with two 2022 first-round picks in Travon Walker and Devin Lloyd in their front-seven now. Their secondary may be a bit suspect but you can say that for about 28 teams in the NFL right now!
The unknown-unknowns... That's what will determine this game and the reason I'm favoring Washington. I think it'll be fewer "What the..." moments and that will favor the more talented team. If it's one thing even the haters of Ron Rivera must admit, the team doesn't find ways to lose as frequently as they have in the past.
Prediction - I think Gibson has a solid Week 1 and McLaurin and Dotson turn some heads. Jacksonville will make it interesting.
